1、Definition:Trial offer is a business term, means you can try something before buying it,it's a mean of selling. Lecture: The professor uses his own example. He saw acommercial on TV about stretching machine, and he was attracted by the fit guyswith amazing muscles in the commercial, but since there was only a number forbuyers there, he started hesitating because this machine is unheard of and he'snot familiar with the function of the machine, so he didn't buy it. 3、socilogy,一个女教授说不同种群的人会用自己创造的语音来进行对话。举了两个例子;一个是医生们用自己有的专业知识来进行交流,但对病人就要详细说明;一个是一群share experience的人,有过共同经历,只要mention 事情的keyword就能引起共鸣。 summarize一下就可以了。
4、新型能源表面上让大家用自然资源用的少了,实际上没有少很多。例子:开车,新型能源。大家觉得用的少还开的距离长,于是就老开车。这样子就算是用的少了,实际上也没有少很多。
5、信息超载:信息量超过了人们的能力来处理它。Information overload: amount of information exceeds people’s capacity to process it.
The professor gives two examples. First, when acompany recruits, they might receive a lot of applications on the first day,but they don’t have time to go through everyapplication, so they only look at some important information and ignore therest. 2、男生要去旅行,但是相机坏了。方案一,他可以买一个新的,但是太贵了,他还想攒钱去旅行。方案二,他可以跟朋友借,但是很怕弄坏了或者弄丢了。
3、问题是男生学校的radiostation 的broadcast坏了。建议一,买新的,太贵。建议二,让会修理的工程学生帮忙修理,但可能不够专业。
4、男人有他打算和他的朋友露营的一个问题,但他在重感冒,他担心的是他是否能在山上忍受寒冷的条件。The man has a problem he planned to go camping with his friend, buthe was in a bad cold and he was concerned about whether he could bear thechilly condition on the mountain.
5、女士的问题是她扭伤了脚踝,她不能开车去市中心做学生的教学。The woman’s problem is that she sprained herankle and she couldn’t drive to downtown to do studentteaching. There are two solutions. First, she could take a taxi, but it's tooexpensive. Second, she could get a ride from her friend, but she didn’t want to be a burden of her friend. Her friend said he could studyin the coffeehouse to wait her, no big deal.

1、是讲一种工资支付方式。就是我们所说的员工计件回扣。说了这种支付方式的两个坏处1.有时候不能正确的支付员工奖励。例子,电子产品商店,顾客来了,员工1给讲了很多,回答了很多问题。顾客走了,第二天来了,直接从员工2买东西,于是奖励算给员工2。那就不公平了。坏处2.员工之间增加竞争。老员工不愿意给新员工教经验,新员工学不到东西,商店产品越卖越少。
2、动物为了防止自己陷进雪里,有两种方法
方法一:身体特殊的构造
举例:一种小型的哺乳动物,他脚很大,脚趾很**(没听懂) 在雪上是覆盖的表面积很大。
方法二:改变行为模式
举例:一种moss(没听懂),会组团在雪上,flat,其他的成员就不会陷进去

二,一个叫wol ris 还是什么的动物,在冰下游泳,为了make break hole through the ice,adapt出了很长的牙
